Our Team

Founding partner Roger Sofer opened Sofer Steiner & Associates, LLP, with Dan Steiner in 1986. His career brought him numerous awards, but his success was more defined by the many personal relationships he nurtured over his 44-year career. Roger passed away in March 2021.

Rice University alumnus with degrees in economics and mathematical sciences, Dan Steiner has more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. Since co-founding Sofer Steiner & Associates, LLP, with his colleague and friend Roger Sofer in 1986, Dan has maintained a steadfast commitment to his clients and community. He is a speaker at industry meetings and events, donates his time and expertise to various professional and civic organizations, and is a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.

John Vallone is a principal with Sofer Steiner & Associates, LLP. A 1998 accounting graduate of The University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business, John worked for Merrill Lynch for several years before joining Sofer Steiner in 2007.
